The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security has set new federal minimum wage effective from Shrawan 1, 2080 (July 17, 2023).
For all workers (except tea-estate workers)
The minimum salary has been revised upwards to NPR 17,300 per month.

Other provisions

- Every worker shall be entitled to an employment contract and an appointment letter.

- In addition to the minimum salary, each worker shall be entitled to gratuity and provident fund as per the provisions of Social Security Act 2017 and other relevant laws of Nepal
